The Adversary’s Good News by Israfel Sivad – Spotlight

A divine comedy – inverted.

Encountering joke-telling gargoyles, the “Great Beast” imprisoned in a cage, a drug-dealing Tinkerbell, and much more, Christian eventually realizes he’s entered a psychologically haunted world far beyond anything his nightmares ever envisioned. Fangdemonium by Lucienne Diver – Blog Tour

Fanged and fabulous…and hunted.

Gina Covella, fashionista of the fanged, and her entourage are primed to reveal the existence of vampires on the popular Ghouligans television show, when their former federal handlers swoop in to shut them down and imprison the vamps in one of their super secret testing facilities. Or not so secret, as the gang knows all about the horror hospitals and has sworn to take them down.

Their daring escape runs them right into the arms of “the resistance”—a group of humans and vampires who’ve joined together to stop the fighting that’s made Gina and her boy Bobby’s hometown a bloody battlefield. Going home brings them back to old nemeses as well, including the psycho psychic who declared Gina “chaos” and Bobby “the key”. They hope he’ll unlock the secret of stopping the Feds’s freakshow experiments for good, because they’re building up to something big. Huge. And they’re consolidating their power in the Big Easy, aka New Orleans, where what’s cooking is nothing less than the final showdown.

Blood Flow by David A. Hill Jr. – Review by Layna

Vampire democracy sucks. Literally. When it’s one vamp, one vote, the worst monsters can swing elections by turning random people off the streets into new vampires. Dylan is one of those random people. The power players in the city want his vote, but he just wants to be left the hell alone. Most of all, he wants to stop murdering people. That’s easier than it sounds when some people are seriously asking for it.

Dylan’s life as a vampire is gross, terrifying, disgusting, frustrating, sexy, painful, and that’s all just in the first night out.

Knight of the Hunted by Elizabeth Dunlap – Review by Layna

400-year-old Lisbeth was born a vampire. She has lived most of her life in the castle of her Order, drinking the blood of her companion to stay healthy and maintaining the rules laid down centuries ago.

When Arthur, a sinister Hunter whose job it is to investigate vampires who have broken the laws, is sent to the castle, Lisbeth is certain that it will be discovered that she had spared the Lycan child. And when her best friend Olivier is recruited by Arthur she has only one option left.

Escaping from the castle, Lisbeth meets and befriends Knight, another Lycan, and travelling with him Lisbeth eventually finds herself in a town filled with co-existing vampires and humans and run by the volatile Born-vampire, James.

As the menacing James begins to exert control over Lisbeth, she realizes that she must escape from him too. But to where? The dangers in the town are bad enough, but with the Hunters still searching for her, it might just be the safest place to be.
